What do the Skip scooters offer?
The electric scooters boast of a maximum speed of 18 mph, can operate a whole day without being recharged and have a 30-mile range. Co-developed by Skip and Boosted Boards, the gadget is equipped with a 36V 350W Hub Motor and security measures. These include LED headlights, taillights and brake lights. However, customers are advised to bring their own helmets.
The sharing service is on an app
Users will need to download a mobile application in order to access the dockless scooters. The Skip app will be able to locate the closest available two-wheeler and, with only a QR scan code, the commuter will have access to it. Furthermore, the sharing service requires a picture of the vehicle properly parked and out of other people’s way.

Other brands are in competition
While Skip can boast about its scooters being the only dockless means of transportation, it is not the only company offering this facility. Lime-S and Bird also offer similar electric longboards that can be accessed through an application and charge around the same price, which is $1 for the rental and then 15 cents per minute.
Additional details about the transportation business
Furthermore, as the gadgets cannot be charged via their docks, the brand is planning to employ a few people to charge the vehicles at their place. The American business is starting to develop its project in the Washington area of the US first.
