The iPhone SE has been released by Apple

As from April 24, Apple has introduced the second generation of its iPhone SE. Contrary to its customs, the tech giant did not plan a grand launch and instead unveiled the smartphone via an announcement. The availability of the product will be extended to up to 40 markets and it will feature several updates.

How does it compare to the flagship devices?

Firstly, the iPhone SE has been valued at $399, which is considerably much cheaper than any other flagship devices from Apple. For instance, an iPhone 11 Pro costs as from $999.00 to $1,449.00. Secondly, the smartphone has been designed with some cheaper features.

Regarding its specs, the iPhone SE is on the smaller side considering its 4.7 inches screen. It is equipped with an A13 Bionic chip which is also present in the iPhone 11 Pro. Retina HD display, 4K video and a home button reminiscent of the previous Apple mobile phones are included. Another interesting feature for the gadget is its camera, which packs Smart HDR and enables autofocus in low light as well as portrait mode.

When was the original iPhone SE unveiled by the tech giant?

The first of this line-up of iPhones, originally priced at $399 as well, was introduced in 2016. Available in the colours space gray, silver, rose gold and gold, the phone was equipped with 16 GB or 64 GB of internal storage.
