Gal Gadot to portray legend Hedy Lamarr
Still untitled, a miniseries which will star Gal Gadot is in the works. Indeed, the Israeli actress has recently been announced as the lead in the serial which will air on Showtime and which will be about the existence of Hedy Lamarr. The latter was a Hollywood icon and also an inventor who revolutionised women’s society back then.
What will the series focus on?
The Showtime series is expected to begin focusing on Hedy Lamarr when she immigrated to the United States in 1938. Taking place during the cinema industry’s golden age, the TV show will shed a light on the Hollywood icon’s existence both behind and in front of the cameras. Aspects of her life as an inventor will also be highlighted by Gal Gadot, the main protagonist.

A word about the show’s producers
Aside from starring in the serial, Gal Gadot is also attached to the Hedy Lamarr project as a producer alongside her husband Yaron Varsano. Warren Littlefield, mostly known for his work on the Hulu show ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, will also produce alongside Katie Robbins from ‘The Last Tycoon’. Sarah Treem has been assigned to write the programme’s screenplay.

As well as reprising her role as Wonder Woman in 2020, Gal Gadot has been attached to numerous projects. For instance, she is set to appear in ‘Death on the Nile’, ‘Red Notice’ and ‘Justice League Part Two’.
