The franchise ‘Bill and Ted’ is back with a threequel
The on-screen duo ‘Bill and Ted’ appeared in the first movie as time-travelling teenagers who had a shared passion for music. According to Deadline, the stars of the franchise are, now, adults with a family life and who still need to achieve their dreams. They set out on a new adventure with their daughters in an attempt to discover the perfect tune.
Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter return in the threequel
The actors can be quoted from Deadline saying, “We couldn’t be more excited to get the whole band back together again.” Keanu Reeves, who portrays Ted Logan in the franchise ‘Bill and Ted’, is currently shooting the third instalment of his series ‘John Wick’. Alex Winter is now doing more work as a director and screenwriter and is presently helming a documentary called ‘Zappa’.

Dean Parisot helms the upcoming film
As seen on The Hollywood Reporter, the creators of the franchise, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have written the screenplay. ‘Bill and Ted’ will be directed by Dean Parisot. The American Academy Award winner is mostly known for ‘Galaxy Quest’, ‘Red 2’ and ‘Fun with Dick and Jane’.
The time-travelling comedy is coming back
27 years later, the franchise ‘Bill and Ted’ is coming back to the big screen. The MGM project already went for sales in May 2018 at Cannes. The threequel does not have a launch date yet as it is just starting its pre-production.
