Stanley Tucci and Emma Thompson: protagonists in “The Children Act”

Emma Thompson and Stanley Tucci both have impressive bodies of work, and shall bring much buzz to “The Children Act” adaptation. This drama will be one that deals with a contemporary issue: a high-achieving married couple that is on the verge of divorce. Stanley Tucci and Emma Thompson seem to be quite the appropriate pair for this movie.

The Ian McEwan film will tell a modern story

As in the book, the ironic situation in which Fiona Maye (Emma Thompson) is found will be explored. The latter is a judge that deals with intricate family law cases, and who is having issues with her own marriage in parallel. “The Hunger Games” actor Stanley Tucci will play her husband, an American professor named Jack.
