Arwen Elys Dayton’s next novel is being eyed upon by Sony Pictures. Maybe the entertainment giant is trying to emulate the success of Hunger Games by trying to make a movie adaptation of the greatly anticipated Seeker.

This science-fiction novel seems to resemble the Suzanne Collins trilogy, at least in genre. Reports indicate that the novel will tell the tale of a teenage girl, Quin Kincaid living in a dystopian world. The Hollywood Reporter states that the character will be one who has undergone “years of brutal training for what she thinks is the noble purpose of becoming a revered Seeker”. Unfortunately, she will have to use the knowledge she acquires to become an assassin. Quin will travel to a futuristic Hong-Kong to carry out her tasks.

Seeing as the book has not yet been published, that is the only information obtained about the plot. The movie adaptation for this Arwen Elys Dayton book will be developed by Callie Kloves. The latter is the daughter of the Harry Potter screenwriter, Steve Kloves. Her name may ring a bell because she is also attached to the upcoming Jungle Book movie by Warner Bros.

The release date for the Seeker movie adaptation has not yet been mentioned. The Arwen Elys Dayton novel, which will hit the shelves in 2015, is the first of a trilogy. This means that there will be a series of films adapted from this upcoming saga.
